These terms apply to booking requests and vehicle services supplied by The Motor Medics Coventryat Unit 1, Home Farm, Meriden Rd, Coventry, CV7 7SL. The garage is the service provider and party to any repair or servicing contract. Nothing in these terms removes a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Where a service contract is concluded online, by telephone or away from business premises, a consumer may have a statutory 14-day cancellation period. If the customer expressly asks work to start during that period, a reasonable amount may be payable for work supplied before cancellation. The right can end after full performance where the law's consent and acknowledgement requirements are met. Statutory exceptions may apply.
Payment is due at the time stated on the quote or invoice, normally before the vehicle is released. Any labour guarantee and parts warranty will be stated on the relevant quote or invoice. Customer- supplied parts are fitted only by prior agreement; the garage is not responsible for a defect inherent in a customer-supplied part, but remains responsible for carrying out the agreed fitting service with reasonable care and skill. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
The garage will provide its service with reasonable care and skill. It is not responsible for a pre-existing or unrelated defect merely because that defect is discovered during a visit, nor for loss caused by inaccurate information, unsafe use after clear advice, or later work by another person.
The garage does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or mandatory consumer remedies. Subject to those protections, it is not responsible for losses that were not a reasonably foreseeable result of its breach or for business losses suffered by a consumer using the vehicle mainly for private purposes.
Website content is general information, not a remote diagnosis or a guarantee that a vehicle is safe. Vehicle and MOT lookups depend on third-party data and can be unavailable, delayed or incomplete. The site may be interrupted for maintenance or by providers outside the garage's control. External services have their own terms and privacy notices.
The garage controls service descriptions, prices, customer communications, appointments, repairs, workshop conduct and the operational records it keeps in email, Google Calendar, accounting systems, job sheets, paper files or other tools. Those matters remain the garage's responsibility.
The independent website supplier provides technical website development and support. The supplier is not a party to the customer's repair contract and does not direct workshop work or the garage's use of independently managed business systems. This allocation does not exclude either party's responsibility for its own acts, omissions, data processing, security duties, intellectual-property use or other legal obligations.
The garage is controller for booking and workshop records. The website's temporary D1 booking row is deleted after seven days, but calendar events, transactional emails, invoices and other operational records are separate and follow the garage's retention decisions and legal obligations. See the Privacy Notice for the full explanation.
Please raise a problem promptly and allow the garage a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, put the work right. The version supplied or available when a contract is agreed applies to that job. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, while consumers retain any mandatory rights to bring proceedings that apply where they live.
